Nathan is our foundation campus, which officially opened in 1975.Today, the campus hosts more than 13,000 students and offers degrees in business and government, engineering and information technology, environment, humanities and languages, law, and science and aviation. The campus, situated in tranquil bushland on the edge of Toohey Forest, is a short walk or bus ride from our Mt Gravatt campus or a 20-minute drive from the Brisbane CBD. Nathan is home to world-class expertise in the environment, corporate sustainability, Asian studies and the emerging biosciences. Our six-star, green-rated Sir Samuel Griffith Centre, which opened in 2013, was Australia’s first teaching and research building driven by solar power and hydrogen energy.
